Artists credo:
Only in the world of creation and art I can simultaneously be a writer and a captain of a long voyage. I can discover new lands and describe their fascination. To reflect the world in painting is to perpetuate it, to prolong its existence. I would like as many people as possible to see my world. There is neither rationalism, nor destruction, nor disbelief in my world. There is no suffering, because I think, that every person is worthy of a better life. And I would like to concentrate all his attention on the apprehension of all the best things, and on overcoming of negative occurrences. It is possible to teach feeling only by using the language of feelings. Within my creative work I don’t either argue with anybody or appeal towards anything, I don’t try to teach or mystify anyone. I hate theories, doctrines, formulae, and have never considered myself a slave of any direction. Creative work can’t be a part of scheme. It is much broader than any notion and definition. It is a diverse and unforeseen as life itself.
Dynamism, plenty of color, impetuous dabs, distinctive for the painting of Yuryi Reznik creates imaginative musical effect. His works come into real aesthetic contact, pervertless lyric dialogue with spectator. Romantic rebellious author’s comprehension of the world breaks out on wide canvas, fills in with deep colorist scope. Real landscape fragments transfer into symbolic, abstract wings view with the help of generalized touches, composed into collective landscape notions and end with marking figures-concepts.
Author’s narrative-figurative compositions emphasize his personal attitude towards life. Reznik’s painting art differs from the aesthetic ideology of traditional romanticism, which basically constituted on dramatic conflicts of outside life factors. The matter of author’s aspiration as his aesthetic orientation basis has something in common and develops new romanticism movement, at the source of which there stoodsuch masters as Vasilyi Kandinskyi and Cupka and their followers De Kunning, Marc Rotco, Archil Gorki.
